Proceeded in death by his wife Marie E. Yates, mother, father, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Survived by his children Jeffrey Yates, Timothy (Gail) Yates, Melissa (Monte) Desero, Kathryn Yates, Angela (Greg) Pequet, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Cleo was a Korean War Veteran, serving from November 18, 1952 until his honorable discharge on November 14, 1960.  He graduated Georgetown College in 1956 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics.  Cleo came to Michigan to become the minister of Leoni Baptist Church in his early 30's and also worked for Aeroquip in Jackson, MI for 27 years retiring to serve the church.  He retired after 40 years with Leoni Baptist but continued to be a member until his health failed.  He enjoyed watching Baseball and Basketball on TV. He also loved keeping his lawn and garden up.  He stayed very social and attended the Jackson Crouch Senior center for many years.

A celebration of Cleo's life will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Duckham officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 12 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM.

In lieu of sending flowers, contributions to the Jackson County Crouch Senior Center would be appreciated.
