Schelling, Wilma Veronika

Age 99 of Jackson, passed away May 28, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany to John and Valerie (Jaworski) Kolakowski on January 21, 1915. She was preceded in death by Ernst, her loving husband of 41 years, her parents, two brothers, six sisters and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn (Lloyd) Rice and Marilyn (Larry) Cook; six grandchildren, Heidi (Ken) Ahlbaum, Jim (Stacey) Rice, John (Christine Valliere) Cook, Julie (Todd) Howard, Lyle (Janet) Rice and Renne (Ron) Rice-Richards; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Also nieces and nephews in Michigan and Germany.

Wilma is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father Tim Nelson officiating. Burial at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-8 with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 pm.

Mom was a loving, caring, religious wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always put her family first. She will be greatly missed.
