William Wright

WRIGHT, WILLIAM J. SR. Of Jackson, passed away suddenly, Thursday, January 29,
2009, age 79 years. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Leota Lee Wright; seven children,
William Jr., John (Jackie), Cheryl (James) Durbrow, Joe (Vicki), Kevin, Theresa (Troy)
Sprague, Tina (Bill) Smith; beloved dogs, Sadie and Ginger; grandchildren, Kristen,
Zach, Jessica, Josh, Jordan, Sabri, Ryliegh, Taylor, Lucas, Justin, Hayley, Karrie, Amber,
Kasi and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Lylianah Starr and Mylie Kaye, Koby and Brooklyn,
Olivia, Alyeelia, Alana, Kaden, Kobey, Aubri and Kenyan; brother, Bob; numerous nieces
and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Josephine (Slattery) Wright;
and two sisters, Mary Keplinger and Sally Wright. William was a U.S. Army Veteran and
was a member of the Navy Reserves. He worked as custodian at the First
Congregational Church for 30 years. He met his wife in 1953 and married on July 24,
1954. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a wonderful, kind,
caring man. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. According to his wishes,
cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 10:00 a.m.
at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. The Reverend Bernard Reilly officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church Monday 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers,
contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association
