Wonsik, William J. III
of Troy, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his wife, Linda; sisters, Susan (Tom) Meldrim and Christine (Mark) DeNato; nieces and nephews, Andy (Gayle) DeNato, Alex (Alexis) DeNato, Alayna (Tom) Webb, Alissa (Ryan) Savard, and Linsey (Neil) Christianson-Meldrim; and five grandnieces and nephews with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jr. and Adeline Wonsik.
William loved his family and his dogs. He was a United States Army Sgt. Vet serving in Vietnam. He retired from Mich Con. William enjoyed fishing, boating, relaxing at his cottage up north, and was an avid horse rider.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 120 E. Wesley Street, Jackson, with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating. William's Celebration of Life will be live streamed on St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church's Facebook Page. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
