Terry was born on February 17, 1943 in Reading, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1961 and then attended DeVry Tech in Chicago before enlisting in the Navy, serving from 1963-1967. He was a Ham Radio operator from a young age into his golden years having worked all states, countries, and zones during his lifetime, K8SMC (KD8B), is now a "silent key" as he would put it.

Terry retired from the Michigan State Police after 32 years of service as a radio tech. He took pride in his work and was an honest and loyal man. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, and working with and building computers. No home project or repair was too big. He was a baseball coach for many years in Concord and was known to his players as "Big T".

The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care given to him by Great Lakes Caring.
