Surrounded by his loving wife Joan, his family and his gentle caregivers, Bill Jansen, peacefully passed to God's embrace on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the age of 93.

Born in Lafayette, Indiana the oldest of 6 children, Bill received his engineering degree from Purdue University in 1949, married Patricia Joyce in June 1950, and moved to Jackson in 1952 with Spartan Corporation. Thereafter, his entrepreneurial spirit drove him to form and develop several successful precision machining businesses. A member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal parish for over 60 years, Bill organized the Queens choir in the early 1950s and served as its director for 15 years. He also directed a number of Gilbert & Sullivan plays at Queens in the 1950s, and was an active member of the Jackson Host Lions Club. Bill was an avid world traveler, having visited all parts of the globe in his retirement years.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia in June 2000. Bill is survived by his wife of 14 years, Joan, his four sons, Bill (Becky), Jim (Sharon), Tom (Kyle) and Phil (Laurie), 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

He was both an inspiration and a role model to his family and all who knew him.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 25 at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Fr. Timothy MacDonald and Fr. John Whitlock officiating. Private internment St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the Church from 10:00 to 10:30 AM on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Queen of the Miraculous Church- Choir Fund would be appreciated.
