William "Bill" Francis Rohlin

Rohlin, William Francis "Bill"

age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2020 in the company of his family at home in Jackson, Michigan. Bill was born on October 27, 1944 to John F. and Evelyn C. Rohlin in Washington, D.C.

Bill graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1966 as a mechanical engineer. He lived an active, impassioned and inspired life, dedicated to his profession and to his family. Bill had numerous interests and hobbies. He was an inventor, a builder, a cabinet maker, a pilot, an avid skier and sailor, a historian, a caregiver, and a person who participated passionately in local issues.

One of Bill's greatest accomplishments included the care he provided for his aging mother in the last five years of her life, so that she could live out her life in the comfort of her home. He will always be remembered for this act of kindness and the dedication and duty to see it through.

Bill faced cancer with strength, hope, optimism, faith and a will to live that would inspire us all. He was always looking ahead towards the future, but firmly grounded in the present.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters Marilyn, Frank, Joe, Tim, Chris, Annie, Teresa, Dave, Mike and Bob, along with numerous nieces, nephews and close family members that include Siobhan Rohlin, Winnie Bouquet, Remzi Hazboun, Samir Hazboun, Richard Hazboun, Vanesa Rohlin, Rodrigo Rohlin, Justin Griffith, Christy Griffith, Gabrielle Griffith, Isabelle Griffith, Brody Griffith, Nathan Griffith, Dillon Coburn, Jesse Griffith, Nick Santoro, Lori Rohlin, Liam Rohlin, Sebastian Rohlin, Evita Rohlin and Claudia Velasquez. He will always be remembered for his spirit, passion and drive.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Oratory with Fr. Robert Pienta officiating. Interment will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
