William Bridges

age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Allegiance Hospice Home. Bill was born in Lincoln Park, MI on May 15, 1930 to the late Sam and Louise Bridges. Bill is survived by his wife, Irene and daughters, Judy (Mike) Jors, Susan (Brad) Thompson, Karen (Fred) Bridges-DaRoche, Denise Loos; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; stepchildren, Gary (Debbie) Foor and Charlene (John) Healy. Bill received three Master Degrees from the University of Michigan. He then dedicated his career to the Jackson Public School System. Bill was proud to be a Korean War Veteran.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 N. Blackstone, Jackson, MI on Monday, March 3 from 4–7 PM and on Tuesday, March 4 from 9–10 AM with the funeral service at 10:00 AM with Reverend Richard Brooks officiating. Full military service will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
