Simon, Willard B. "Bud"
a lifetime resident of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully in the evening hours of September 30, 2013, at age 92. He was born on June 2, 1921 in Jackson, Michigan. Bud was a proud veteran, having honorably served his country during WWII for 6 years in the United States Army. His beloved wife Denise of 64 years came from France to America after WWII as his war bride. Throughout his professional life Bud was on the go as an accomplished industrial salesman, retiring from Allen Manufacturing Company after nearly 40 years. In retirement Bud and Denise pursued their passions of family life and travel together, sharing their golden years in Florida, Michigan and France. Bud loved walking, fitness and traveling. Throughout his life, Bud was an avid nutritionist. He lived as a proud American and Christian by example.
He loved his family and his grandchildren, who were a source of pride and great joy. Bud is survived by his loving brother Jake Simon, five children, Philip (Cheryl Szyniszewski) Simon, David, Diane (Chuck) Dunlap, Janine (Jack) Hatt, Peter (Christa) Simon; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Denise, son Mike, sister Helen, brother Judd, and father and mother, Jacob and Agnes Simon. At Bud's request, a private family service was held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home.
