Simpson (Weinburger) Wendy Marie
Was peacefully called home on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the age of 65 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Wendy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bobby (Bob) K. Simpson of Jackson, MI, her children Jennifer M. Paquin, John (JV) V. Paquin (Hollie), Patrick J. Paquin (Tammy), step-children Keith P. Simpson (Susie), Brent G. Simpson (Barb), grandchildren Kadence R and Wesley C. Paquin, Alexander W. and Cody H. Paquin, Mason R. Paquin-McGrath, step-grandchildren Riley A. and Reagan G. Simpson, Peyton H. and Garret K. Simpson, sister Kitty Renae, as well as nieces and nephews.
Wendy was born February 23, 1952 in Ann Arbor, MI and raised in South Lyon, MI. She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in Detroit in 1972 and relocated to Jackson, MI. She began her nursing career at Mercy Hospital in Jackson, retiring 20 years later from Foote Hospital. Wendy had a love of crafting, and spent much of her free time creating crafts and outfits to donate to needy families or sell for charitable organizations.
Funeral services were held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Roseland Memorial Gardens. Father MacDonald of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church officiated the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to consider donating to Multiple Sclerosis Association of America in Wendy's name.
