Virginia "Ginny" Lea Hodges passed from this life on Monday, April 21, 2025, to join her beloved father, Robert Lee Hodges, and her Savior, Jesus Christ, beyond the gates of heaven.

In this life, Ginny was blessed with a devoted mother, Vicky Schultz - her lighthouse in the storm of cancer - steadfast, full of grace, and unwavering in her love. Vicky, with the gentle and loving help of Ginny's stepdad, Ron Schultz, cared for her at home.

Ginny adored shopping, country music, dinners out, and any opportunity to be surrounded by the people she loved. She was made for gatherings and basked in the close company of family and friends. With a fierce spirit and a gentle heart, she was unassumingly quick-witted and full of humor. From the day she was born, she was a big, beautiful, spirited personality in a tiny body. She will be deeply and dearly missed.

Ginny is survived by her loving mother and stepfather, Vicky and Ron Schultz; her beloved children, Nathan and Claire; her sisters, Kelly, Missy, Jamie, and Ginger (Michael); and her brother, Ronnie. She leaves behind her cherished nieces—LaRyia, Tori, Sophia, Grace, and Kennedy—and her nephews—Darian, Jackson, Ronnie and Brett. Ginny is also remembered and celebrated by her many aunts, uncles, including special aunt and uncle, Ray and Lisa Putnam; and cousins, each of whom held a special place in her heart, and she in theirs. Her dear and faithful friend, Robin Stuart, who always stood lovingly by her side.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.   A Celebration of Ginny's Life will be held at a later date.
