Daly, Virginia M. "Ginger"
Of Jackson passed away under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the age of 89 years. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Kevin J. "Kip" Daly Sr.
She is survived by her 8 children Karen A. Look, Kevin J. Daly, Jr. (Linda), Maureen T. Taggart (David), Sheila M. Lingo (Curt), Mary P. Tevlin (Joe), Nancy A. Pack (Ben), Brian J. Daly, MD (Jennifer) and Terrence P. Daly (Nancy). 28 Grandchildren: Paul (Deanna), Anne (Charles), Sara (Steve), Jackie, Laura (David), Kevin (Shanna), Patrick, Erin (Matt), Sean, Katie, Jeff(Julie), Kari(Patrick), Annie(Brooks), Matt (Caitlin), Sam, Andy (Robin), Matt, Meg, Aisleen, Ben, Gus, Michael, Liam, James, Thomas, Patrick, Maire, and Quinn. 12 Great Grandchildren: Wyatt, Aissatou, Fatima, Charlotte, Brendan, Jack, Ryan, Cassidy, Mackenzie, Drew, Blake, and Kevin IV. Also survived by: Sister and brother in law: Bob and Mary Bishop, Sister in law: Ellen Hickey
Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by her
Grandson: Sean J. Daly, brother: James E. Hickey, sisters: Phyllis McHugh and Helen Gumbert, and her parents: James H. and Edna M. Hickey.
Ginger was a graduate of St. Mary's High School class of 1945. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She conducted her life with a strong catholic faith, humility, dignity, kindness and grace. She will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hospice Home for the wonderful care and kindness extended to our Mom and family.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:30 AM Friday, September 30, 2016. Interment will follow at St.
John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the Rosary at 6:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations in Ginger's memory may be made to the Solanus Casey Center, 1780 Mt. Elliot Street, Detroit, Michigan 48207-3483 or the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home 2150 Kingsbrooke Drive, Jackson, Michigan 49202.
