Crowley, (Skrocki), Virginia J.
A life-long resident of Jackson, Michigan passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the age of 93 years.
She is survived by five of her children: Dr. Carol Crowley of Commerce Township, Michigan, Charlie Crowley, Michael Crowley, John (Sue) Crowley and Ellen Crowley; Her grandson, Shawn; Two great grandchildren: Oliver and Noah of Jackson; and a granddaughter Nichole of Grass Lake, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Leo (2007), her second youngest daughter, Mary (2022) and her daughter-in-law, Kim (2022).
Virginia was born on September 15, 1930 in Jackson, Michigan. She graduated from high school and completed come college courses. She worked in a clerical capacity for a couple of years before she married Leo Crowley in June of 1951. They were married for 56 years and had six children together. Virginia was a stay-at-home Mom until she went to work at the Jackson Medical Care Facility in 1973 and retired after many years of service. Virginia was happiest with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and their dogs around. She loved her family. She had a good sense of humor and was known to play an "impish" joke every now and then.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 711 Martin Luther King Blvd. Jackson, Michigan 49201 with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
