Braun, Virginia "Jean"
of Jackson, passed away at her home under the loving care of her family on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert "Bob" Braun; nine children, Bob (Mary Jo) Braun, Linda (Mike) Kanser, Karen (Greg) Wright, Bill (Shari) Braun, Mark Braun, Susie Mohney, Lori (Keith) Aronoff, Janet (Lee) Brown, Jody (Bob) Smilowski; 15 grandchildren, Angie, Mikey, Maddie, Emily, Alex, Robert, Sarah, Caitlin, Sam, Amanda, Steve, Kelley, Scott, Lauren and Mara; several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dot Brower; two brothers, Jack and Bill Brower. Jean was an active member of Queen's Parish and attended Mass daily. Jean and her husband, Bob, owned and operated Braun's Home Furnishings since 1960. Mrs. Braun is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Reverend Timothy MacDonald will be the celebrant.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and at Queen's Church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. A Rosary Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 PM.

Memorial contributions to Queen's Church would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Robertson D.O., Allegiance Hospice and many loving caregivers, especially, Corine Williams, for their loving care and compassion.

Jeans family and her faith were the most important things in her life and she will be deeply missed.
