Brassil, Virginia "Ginny"
Went home to the Lord on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, (great grandmother), nurse and volunteer. Ginny graduated from Mercy School of Nursing and worked at Mercy Hospital as a staff nurse for several years, also at Foote Hospital in multiple positions over a 35 year span. Ginny loved people! Her family and Jesus meant the world to her. A lover of music from Classical to Funk. She and Lou belonged to several different dance clubs in the state. She enjoyed cooking, camping, gardening, crocheting, sewing and games. She was a frustrated want a be artist but never got the hang of it! As a volunteer she was involved in Habitat for Humanity, Medical Care Facility, St. John The Evangelist Church, baking birthday cakes for the elderly and just thanking God every day for the blessings in her life!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Arlene Walker, sisters and best friends Beverly Coats and Janet Bible, brothers, Edward and Butch. She is survived by the love of her life, Lou, that God sent from Ireland to be her soul mate! Children, Cathlene (Michael) Maurer, Kevin (Kristine) Brassil and Susan (Christopher) Marshall. Grandchildren, Kyle, Catherine, Emily, George, Peter, Margaret, Matthew, Liam, Helen and numerous great grandchildren.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:30 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be live streamed on the Church's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/saintjohnjackson.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers contributions to the Lingap Childrens Foundation or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
