Chomic (Hagen), Virgilene D.

Of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, age 90. She was born March 21,1933 to Emma (Bogdan) Musser and William Hagen both deceased. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Leonard Chomic; six children: William (Karen) Chomic, Robert Chomic, Donald Chomic, Cynthia (John) Bonnen, Diane (Eric) Hinckley, and Brian (Libby) Chomic; twelve grandchildren: Christopher (Megan) Chomic, Jason Chomic, Theresa (Kyle) Patton, Sam (Jes) Chomic, Kyle Chomic, Lily Bonnen, Denise Hinckley, Michelle Hinckley, Paul Bonnen, Thomas Bonnen, Gabriel Chomic, Charlotte Chomic; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Chomic and daughter-in-law, Francyn Chomic.

Virgilene was born and raised in Jackson, after living in Farmington and Northville she returned to Jackson to raise her seven children and run the family business. She was a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Society there. She was also a member of the Michigan Campers Club and a golf league at Ella Sharp Golf Course.

Mrs. Chomic is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Father Robert Pienta officiating. Interment will be held St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, May 7 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm with the Holy Rosary at 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
