Wowianko, Veronica "Jean"
Went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2021 as the result of Covid-19 at the age of 76. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. She was born on April 9, 1944 in Jackson Michigan. Jean was preceded in death by her son Thomas Wowianko Jr., Brother in law Robert Miles, nephew Michael Miles, niece Crystal Miles, and sister-in-law Carla (Batterson) Frybarger. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Thomas Wowianko Sr. and three children, Richard, David (Tisha Maddison) and Andrew (Tisha Johnson), and Daughter-in-law Laurie (Tompkins) Wowianko. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Lucas, Ryan, and Katelyn of Phoenix AZ, Brock and his fiancé Jocelyn Bellamy of North Judson IN, Joshua, Noah, Wyatt, Brevan, Alyssa (Chase) Toth and there son Luke, Nicole Johnson all of Jackson MI. Jean leaves behind 11 brothers and sisters, Robert (Aline) Frybarger, Frances (Steve) Smak, Edward (Malinda) Frybarger, Ann (Gerry) Rice, Mary Miles, Marge Kluk, James (Carol) Frybarger, Louis "Mick" (Kathleen) Frybarger, Laura (Eric) Gifford, Charles (Amy) Frybarger, Ruth Everett and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Jean loved playing cards with friends and family. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, Jackson, Michigan on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 1:30 PM with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating. A private interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery at a later date. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the church's face book page. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the church entrances.
