Scott, Vernetta B.
of Spring Arbor, passed away, surrounded by her children, on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the age of almost 99 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rev. Kenneth R. Scott. She is survived by four children, Carol (Arthur) Moyses, Donald (Jean) Scott, Vonnie (Roger) Petersen, Marcia (Soxie) Scott; seven grandchildren, Marty, Joseph, Joshua, Rachel, Heather, Kristen and Danielle; four great grandchildren, Grace, Ethan, Hunter and Jack; two siblings, Fran and Carl; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by six siblings.

Vernetta was very active in her church including being a missionary, Pastor's wife and church pianist. She loved to garden and entertain and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church on Thursday, September 26 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, from 1-2 PM.
