Of Spring Arbor, passed away in Jackson, MI on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the age of 65 years.

She is survived by her mother, Nora Thomas; brother, CJ (Tina) Thomas; son, Corey (Heather Manthei) Kimball; daughter, Alisha (Mike) Kaminski; grandson, Jayden Kimball; granddaughter, Cailyn Kimball; and nieces and nephews, Dustin Thomas, Stephanie Calverley, Justin Whitney, Amber Mead, and Courtney Whitney.

She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Thomas and her sister, Vickie Thomas-Whitney.

Vera was born in Jefferson City, Missouri and attended school at Michigan Center in Jackson, MI.  Her passion was photography and she would find the beauty in anything whether it was nature or in the people she would take pictures of.

She had many talents throughout her life, whether it was working with children, older adults or working in the flower gardens.

She attended at our Lady of Fatima and was a part of the Gills Woman's Group at Saint Joe's Church.  Other things that she had the pleasure of doing was scrapbooking, doing crafts with her grandchildren and crocheting for her family.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Robert Pienta officiating. Interment to follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, April 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.  The family will also receive friends at the Church on Friday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
