Shafer, Troy M.

Born on February 1, 1980 in Jackson, Michigan passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the age of 39 years. Troy is survived by his parents, Michael and Janet; brother, Mark; sons, Zack, Trenton, and Gaige; grandson, Greyson; and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and good friends.

Troy was a very hard worker with Howard Bentley in construction. He loved washing and detailing his truck while listening to his eclectic taste of music. He also enjoyed many sports with the Detroit Tigers being his favorite. Troy will be deeply and heartfully missed.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The family will also receive friends before the Mass on Friday from 12:30 to 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses for Troy would be greatly appreciated.
