Spencer, Todd Christopher
born into life in Jackson, MI on November 16th, 1967 and passed into eternal life Friday July 12th, 2019 after a valiant battle against AML leukemia surrounded by his family and covered in the merciful grace of God. He was an amazing father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend. Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter and Violet Jedda and Bill and Virginia Spencer. He is survived by his daughters, Krystal (Justin) Pfaffinger, Brittany (Shawn) Pogrob, grandchildren Daijhan, Ella, and Milania Pfaffinger, Giovanni Pogrob, his parents William and Patricia Spencer, brother Nicholas (Alison) Spencer, sister Natalie (Charles) Lott and several nieces and nephews.
Todd was a skilled tool and die maker and worked 30 years at Lefere Forge and Machine Co. He loved being outdoors working on his lawn, boating at Clark Lake, and golfing. He was a gourmet cook and loved to host dinner parties for family and friends. He especially liked giving cooking lessons to his daughters and making breakfast for his grandchildren. Todd had a great sense of humor and loved teasing his family and making them laugh. While his daughters attended grade school at Queens Todd was an active member of the men's club working on several fund raising projects. He was humble in his generosity, helping people in need and supporting local charities. We were all so blessed to have Todd in our lives He taught each of us about courage, determination and faith. Todd and his family are very appreciative of the care and care and compassion shown to him these past 2 and a half years by all the staff, nurses and Dr. Trimble at Henry Ford Allegiance outpatient oncology center.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17: In Queen's Catholic Church from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and in Vincentian Hall (lower level of the Church) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. They will also receive friends at the Church, before the Mass, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Thursday, July 18 at 11:00 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald as the Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in his memory to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital or Jackson Right to Life.
