He was predeceased in death by his mother, Joyce Skojec, his grandparents, special Uncles Jack and Carl "Micky", Nini, Poppi and his best friend, Todd Stratton.
Tim worked all his life as a cook starting his career at Kennedy's Corner, then Ramada Inn, 30 plus years with Ground Round in New York and Michigan and finally retired from Southside Super Deli.
He grew up in Johnson City, New York and went to Johnson City High School. He moved to Michigan to be with his beloved Mary Jo in 2001. He was a quiet, gentle soul and loved deeply. He was always up for a fishing trip and loved sitting by the water as it brought him peace. He loved spending time with family. He loved cooking out and sitting by the fire. He would do anything for anybody when he could. You could always find him with a book no matter where he went. He would be reading several books at a time. He enjoyed cooking for his family and watching game shows with his wife in the evenings. His proudest moments were being a husband and father. He loved supporting his son in all his activities and was always his biggest supporter. He enjoyed traveling, especially the trips to Hawaii, Virginia Beach and his trips back to his hometown in New York where he was able to be with family that he dearly loved. He will remain in the hearts that loved him so. He is now free of pain and suffering and can now walk and run as he always wished he could do with his son.
According to his wishes Tim has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Father Tim Nelson will be the Celebrant at the Mass. Final resting place will be St. John Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the mass from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers contributions to the family to be used for Todd's needs and wishes would be appreciated.
