Doyle, Timothy James

Beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on December 30, 2025, at his home in Decatur, Michigan. Born on October 24,1951 in Jackson, Michigan, he lived a life characterized by kindness, humor, caring for the health and wellness of others, generosity, and a deep commitment to his faith, community, and family.

Timothy (Tim) was the cherished son of Thomas J. and Bernice (Schlamb) Doyle, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also the beloved brother of sisters, Cynthia Hudler, Cheryl Doyle, and Michelle Ryder, who also preceded him in death. He was deeply loved by nieces, Jennifer and Stephanie, and his nephew Christopher. He was adored by his "brothers" Kevin, Russ, and Jim. As well as his "sisters", Kathy and Helen.

Tim was given an ear for classical music. Although he did not play any instrument, or profess to being an aficionado, he would enjoy long hours of listening to a wide range of classics that would make his heart sing, feet dance, or eyes tear.

Tim was a member of the 1969 inaugural graduating class of Lumen Christi Catholic High School in Jackson, Michigan. After graduation, he would begin what would become a very long career in the medical field by training as an orthopedic orderly at Mercy Hospital. He found the work fascinating and by 1972 he graduated from the Registered Nursing Program at Mercy School of Nursing in Detroit. Nursing would open the world wide open for him. He considered it an honor to go through life as a Registered Professional Nurse.

Tim would soon after move to Chicago, Illinois to begin an extraordinary career. The majority of his nursing career in Chicago was spent at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago. He explored many areas of nursing, and his strongest quality was demanding the best care possible of himself for anyone under his care. He would spend 48 years of true happiness in the profession. Caring for the underserved and disenfranchised of society was a primary focus of his nursing career fulfillment. Even during retirement while living in Decatur, he still felt compelled to serve those in need. He became employed at the Cass County Jail Facility, where he worked for nearly 5 years. He enjoyed every minute of service at the jail and every person he encountered during his time there.

Chicago would be his self proclaimed forever home. It would be here that he would fall in love and make innumerable friendships. He was blessed by the love and happiness that each of these relationships would bring into his life. He would retire to a quiet and cozy lake home back in Michigan that would bring him great joy, peace, and respite. There he spent 10 wonderful years relaxing by the water.

"God bless those of you who came with me on my journey, it has been a mutual love affair. Family Friends, coworkers… all who shared life with me… what a ride. Please don't stop the music.

When the time comes, I will be able to look back and smile happily that my life was full and well lived.

My undying gratitude to my adored nephew and nieces who have brought so much joy to my life throughout the years.

See you all on the other side,
Love….Tim"
