Way, Thomas B.
Devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 19, 2021 of a sudden heart attack. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Gill and Catherine Lucille Way and his oldest brother, Jim Way. He is survived by his adoring family, beloved wife of 51 years, Kathleen; three daughters, Christa Paul (Tim) of Mason, Carolyn Way of Sarasota, Florida, and Lisa Way (Nick Chromiak-Munroe) of Tucker, Georgia; two grandchildren, Cody and Ashley Paul; and sisters, Kathy Way and Marilyn Summers (Bob).
Tom was born on February 4, 1948 in Jackson. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1966 and attended Jackson Community College where he earned an Associates of Arts Degree in 1968. He served in the United States Army Reserve and the Michigan National Guard from 1969 until 1975. He was proud of his work at Wolverine Metal Specialties, a family owned business, until his retirement. Tom was a great family man and dedicated his life to those he loved. He was passionate about golf and enjoyed working in his yard. He will be missed and leaves an indelible mark in the hearts of all that knew him.
Tom was a devout Catholic and faithful parishioner at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church's Facebook Page. A private interment will be held a St. John's Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Queen's Church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
In lieu of sending flowers, contributions to Cascades Humane Society would be appreciated.
