Rumler, Thomas Christopher
Of Marcellus, Michigan passed away peacefully, while under the loving care of his family and hospice, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the age of 67 years. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Katherine Rumler (Klima); two sons, Brian (Chelsea) Balyeat and Christopher Rumler, daughter Melonie (Kevin) Rumler; eight grandchildren, Blake, Malykhi, Brenden, Kaylin, Carter, Braxton, Brady, and Kalisea; brothers and sisters, Norene Hahn, Paul (Sandy) Rumler, Mike (Katie) Rumler, Bob Rumler; sisters-in-law, Sherry Rumler and JoAnn Rumler; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Della (Leavitt) Rumler; sister, Barb; and brothers, Jim, Tony, and Pat.
Tom graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He recently retired from EVS in South Bend, IN. Throughout the course of his career, he accomplished many patents in the seating/seat belt industry.
Tom had many successful moments in life, including running the 111th Boston Marathon in 2007. He was proud to be a dedicated Detroit Lions fan. He was incredibly hard working, remodeled many of his own homes and enjoyed working with his hands. Tom also enjoyed camping, canoeing, and spending time with his family.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 2:00 PM with Father Tim Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 4:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the Church on Monday, November 21 from 1:30 to 2:00 PM.
Instead of sending flowers, contributions to Three Rivers Beacon Hospice would be appreciated.
