Thomas J. Ratchford Sr.

RATCHFORD, THOMAS J. SR.
Of Jackson passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 age 81 years. Survived by his wife of two months shy of 60 years, Stella (Pec). Three sons; Tom Jr. of Jackson, Michael of New York city and Philip (Stacey) of Jackson. Two grandchildren; Sydnee and Nicholas. Brother in law Anthony Pec. Preceded in death by his daughter Ann Lacinski. Mr. Ratchford was a U.S Army Veteran of WWII. He was a Jackson City Police Officer from 1950 to 1966 and co-owner of the Virginia Coney Island form 1966 to 1991. Mr. Ratchford served on the Jackson City and Jackson County Commissions for many years. He was Past Commander of the P.L.A.V., was a member of the American Legion Post #29 and was a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus Council #9131. One of the greatest joys in his life were his grandchildren. Mr. Ratchford is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held Tuesday 9:30 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church 10:00 am. Interment St. John's Cemetery. The Rev. James Shaver officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Vigil Service Monday 7:00 pm.
