Wowianko, Thomas John Jr. "Tom"
Went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2020 at the age of 55. He was at home, surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing. He was born on February 23, 1965 in Jackson Michigan.
Tom was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Rick Tompkins. He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Laurie Wowianko and three children, Lucas, Ryan and Katelyn. He is also survived by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Veronica (Jean) Wowianko of Jackson, MI, and his Mother in law, Ruth Nelson of Queen Creek AZ. Tom leaves behind three brothers, Richard, David (Tisha Maddison), and Andrew (Tisha Johnson), and sister-in-law Arlene Tompkins. Tom is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Tom is formerly of Jackson, Michigan, and moved to Arizona with his company Pearson Learning. Tom bravely fought cancer for a year and a half, during which he continued working for the majority of that time. He made numerous close friends at a job he maintained for more than 29 years.
Tom loved Fantasy Football, and flew to Michigan every year for the draft. He also enjoyed golf. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Jackson, Michigan on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Robert Pienta officiating. A private interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the church's face book page.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to help defray the cost of flights and other expenses, or a charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the church entrances.
