Goodwin, Thomas H.

Of Jackson, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving daughters and special friend on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the age of 69 years. Tom is survived by his 3 daughters, Julie (Buff) Page, Jennifer (Jeff) Pitcock, and Jodi (Matt) Marsden; 9 grandchildren, Hunter, Noah, Logan, Addison, Haley, Matilda, Quinn, Liam, and Vienna; the mother of his children, Anne Goodwin; special friend, Emily Kress; 1 sister, Dolores Martin; 11 nieces and nephews; other close family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orrin and Vera Goodwin.

Tom spent most of his life as a teacher, coach, and mentor. He was employed at Northwest Community Schools for 25 years. Tom enjoyed his family, sports, the outdoors, golfing, and bowling.

Mr. Goodwin is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. According to his wishes, cremation will follow.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Fr. John Whitlock officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.

Instead of sending flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. John Catholic Elementary School or Heartland Hospice would be appreciated.
