Bell, Thomas J.

of Grass Lake, passed away peacefully with his daughter Bethany by his bedside on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the age of 81 years. Tom was born on January 28, 1940 in Clare, Michigan to Ralph and Francis Bell. Tom had a 30 years career working for the train company Conrail and retired as a Yardmaster in 1995. He enjoyed golfing at Waterloo Golf Course, fishing for panfish, and very much loved playing his guitars. Tom was the devoted husband to Patricia for 57 years. Together they raised and he is survived by ten children, Thad, Joellen Drallette, Jennifer, Eric, Kevin(Carolyn), Brian, Wendy (Adam), Bethany, Angela (Brian) Kurylo, and Jacob; 12 grandchildren,  Melissa (Shanon) Shoffner, Jessica Mazzola, Mitchell Drallette and Gabe Drallette, Brenna, Rowan, and Karis Bell, Braylen Bell, Avery, Phoenix, Declan, and Stryder Kurylo; one great grandson, Journey Shoffner; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Dickerson.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 14200 E. Old U.S. Highway 12 in Chelsea with V. Rev. William J. Canon Turner, PhD officiating. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on St. Mary Catholic Church's Facebook Page.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
