Osborne, Theodore (Ted)

of Jackson, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Those who are left to honor his memory are his son, Craig (Amy) Osborne of Jackson; daughter Shawn Hilts of Hanover; stepson, Phillip (Paula) Lee of Leslie; 10 grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother, Erving Osborne of Jackson; sisters, Arlene Rose Hobley of Jackson and Joan Kuhls of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Kevin Osborne, father, Larry Osborne; and his step mother, Martha Osborne.

Ted was born on February 23, 1932 in Jackson, Michigan to Larry and Rose (Vogt) Osborne. He attended St. Mary Catholic School in Jackson. He then went on to join the Navy where he served his country proudly. From 1972-2014 he was a court officer for Jackson County. Ted was also a member of MCODSA. Ted was full of life. He loved to tell stories and make people laugh. He was a very kind and giving man. Ted gave to many who were not as fortunate as he was. He loved to dance. One of Ted's main hobbies was his tractors and putting them in the parades. His tractors brought him great joy.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday, January 5 from 5-8.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 6 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Richard Eberle O.S.F.S. officiating. Cremation to follow the Mass.
