Au revoir Fernande! Suzanne F. Arvidson went to be with the Lord March 10, 2016. Suzanne , born in 1920, was raised in Parthenay, France, where she lived until after World War II. Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Donald E. Arvidson. Don and Suzanne lived the past 51 years in Jackson.

Suzanne, a former Weight Watchers lecturer and coach, also provided volunteer services for the American Red Cross. During and after World War II, she was an overseas telephone operator for the U.S. Army and spoke several languages. Suzanne and Don loved to travel, loved all animals, especially their rescue pets, and enjoyed many outdoor activities. Suzanne relished beating her grandchildren (and Don) at mini-golf and Rummy!

Suzanne is survived by son Dale (Margaret) Kortze of Carlisle, PA, and step-children Thomas (Linda) Arvidson of Bend, Oregon and Cynthia Arvidson of Cleveland, Ohio, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and beloved friends William and Rocio Baird and their children.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Monday March 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Father John Whitlock as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Queen's Church on Monday from 10-10:45 AM, with a Rosary to follow at 10:45.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Cascades Humane Society, or Allegiance Hospice Home, Jackson, MI.
