Leigh, Stuart Eugene
of Jackson passed away under the loving care of his family and the staff at Carelink of Jackson on Tuesday December 17, 2013 at the age 71 years. Survived by his life long friend and partner, Margie Heavy; brothers and sisters, Henry (Helen) Leigh, Patty Jarvis, Barbara (Tony) Davis, and Mike Leigh. Other survivors include David (Sally) Heavy, Jason (Jackie) Heavy and their children; Heath, Wyatt, Dalton, Landon, and Ella. Preceded in death by his brother-in-law, David Jarvis; and his best friend, Jerry Louagie.
Stuart was born in Jackson and was a United States Navy Veteran of Vietnam. He lived in Los Angeles for 30 years and retired from Northrup Grumman. He was an avid golfer and University of Michigan sports fan. He had a great work ethic and was recently employed at the Interstate 94 Vehicle Auction. Stuart was also a member of the Grotto Club. He was a loyal and a true friend and will be greatly missed.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday at 10:30 AM with Father James Shaver officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
