Steven Allan Shiley

of Jackson, passed away on March 22, 2021. He was born on November 24, 1951 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Allan Edward Shiley and Patricia Jean (Browning) Shiley. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna; daughters, Shannon Marie French (James) and Courtney Suzanne Bermack (Brian); grandchildren, Natasha Miller (Joseph), Caleb French, Cassia French, Jace French, Zachary French, Keelia French, Caedmon French, Jared French, Anica French, Trinity French, and Kyran French; great-grandchildren, Elijah Miller, Levi Miller, Shiloh Miller, Kira Miller, and Judah Miller; brother, Michael Shiley; and sister, Marianne Bergeron.

Steve graduated from Riverside High School in Dearborn Heights in 1969. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 1973. From 1973-1999 he was an officer at the Jackson Police Department and retired as Detective. Steve worked for the Jackson County Information Tech Department from 1999-2011, retiring as the Deputy Director. He was a part of the Jackson Genealogical Society where he helped many people search online at the library.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services will be held.  Contributions in Steve's memory to the Dahlem Center would be appreciated.
