Sophie Bartus

Of Jackson passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the age of 93. Surviving are her daughters; Donna "Dolly"Marie Bartus, Debbie Ann Ehrig and Susie Marie (Joe) Michalsky; sons, Jim Bartus, Thomas Bartus and Mark (Dianne) Bartus; 10 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Brownie; grandson, Travis Michalsky; 5 sisters Matilda Musky, Anna Jusick, Helen Elinski, Martha Bobka and Mary Kosinski; 2 Brothers John Konkel and Frank Konkel. Sophie was the owner of the Ole Stuff'n Such antiques. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Highland home and Great Lakes Hospice.

Sophie is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Sunday from 2–4 and 6–8 PM. A Rosary Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 P.M.

A brief Prayer Service will be held at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday at 10:00 A.M. followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Reverend Timothy MacDonald will be the celebrant.

Contributions may be made to Lumen Christi High School or Mott Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
