Kuenz, Shirley
formerly of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of Ralph for 57 years; beloved mother of Kathleen Kuenz, Tani Schneider, Holly Schmidt, Mikey Terry and Jean Bess. Shirley is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Shirley was well educated, having two Associates Degrees, a Bachelors Degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wayne State University in the Masters Program with a degree in Social Work. She was also very active in the BABES program in Downriver Detroit.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 AM with Father Francisco Radecki CMRI officiating. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
