KELLY, SHIRLEY MARIE—
Of Leslie Township, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the age of 67. Shirley was born July 17, 1942 in Jackson, MI to Donald L. Kelly and Lenna M. Moffitt. She is preceded in death by her twin sister and best friend, Sharron M. Kelly; also survived by very special nephews and nieces, Gilbert L. (Johanna J.) Kelly of Quincy, Donald F. (Sandra L.) Houghtaling of Concord, and Alan J. (Susan J.) Houghtaling of Florida; as well as loved great-nieces and nephews, Kirsten (Roman) Dzialo of Battle Creek, Heather (Rich) Woolworth of Jerome, Bernadette (Dru) Bagwell of Jackson, Erin (John) Kelly of Chicago, Jessica Emmons of Jackson, Jamie (Dan) King of Peoria, IL, Allison (Brian) Berry of Jackson, and Sean Houghtaling of Florida; and five great-great-nieces and nephew, Jalyn, Liam, Anya, Broc, and Graydon. Shirley is also survived by many cousins, with special cousins, Louis Kelly of Niles and Donald, David, and Edwin Moffitt of Jackson County. Shirley was a kind and loving person and her faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, sustained her. Her family wants to thank all her good friends and neighbors, Carol Sherrel and Alice Budd of Leslie. Shirley has been cremated and interment will be in Draper Cemetery near her parents. There will be no services.
Those who wish may contribute to the Salvation Army or Hospice of Jackson and Oaklawn.
