Kulas, Shawn
of Parma, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 due to Covid-19 at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his son, Cody; brothers and sisters, Peter (Maryann) Kulas, Laura Kulas, Angie (Ron) Cochran, and Lisa (Garry) Garner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Ann Kulas, brother, Patrick; and nephew, Joey Hinkle.
Shawn graduated from MSU. He retired as Deputy Sheriff from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department. Shawn worked part time at the Home Depot where he enjoyed interacting with people. He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed taking people for rides. He enjoyed vacations with the family. Shawn was a member of Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Fr. James Shaver officiating. The Church is limited to 135 persons and masks and social distancing will be required. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church's Facebook Page. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 7 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral home is limited to 25 persons at a time and masks and social distancing will be required. The family will also receive friends at the Church on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM with a Rosary Service and 4th Degree Chalice Service at 10:30 AM.
