McCann, Shaun Joseph

Passed away peacefully on August 24, 2020 at age 64 surrounded by his loving family.

Preceded in death by parents Bob and Virginia McCann; in laws, Joe and Helen Terry. Survived by Jan, wife and soulmate of almost 42 years; children, Alison (Rob) Levy, Erin (Cameron) McArthur, Dylan (Mandy) McCann; grandchildren, Lincoln, Cole, and Blaize Levy, Devin and Carter McArthur; brothers, Tim (Carole), Kevin, Denny (Mary Ann); sisters, Patty (Dave) Titus, Pam (Mike) Cramer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was our remarkable Miracle Man who survived glioblastoma for 14 ½ years until another brain tumor appeared. Shaun fiercely loved his family and treasured spending time with them. He enjoyed volunteering at St. John Elementary School with Grandparents Club and Special Olympics Biking. He retired from Consumer Energy. He coached his children in many sports and loved watching his grand boys play their sports. He loved to fish and putter in his pole barn. Everyone knew they could always depend on Shaun for help.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father James Shaver as the celebrant. The family will receive friends before the Mass from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the church.

Memorial donations can be made to St. John Elementary School or help out someone in need.
