Herder, Sharon Kay

Of Jackson, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the age of 79 years. Sharon was a long time resident of Jackson, Michigan. She is survived by her daughter Shelly Williams and her husband , Ben Williams; one son, Bernie Herder and his wife Karie Herder, one granddaughter Madyson Herder, one grandson, Michael Herder; one sister, Shirley (Phil) Clements, two brothers, Tom (Diane) Johnson, John (Linda), Johnson, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, David.  Sharon retired from Remax Realty after many years of service and helping many families purchase their first homes in the Jackson area. She enjoyed traveling with her family, playing slot machines, bowling, swimming, and watching ice skating shows. Mom religiously gave blood to the American Red Cross and supported our troops and first responders.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
