Sarah Hamilton, age 69, passed away in peace on March 29th, 2019, after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gayle and Carolyn Huntoon. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Daniel, their son, Jacob (Megan), brothers Charles (Debbie) Huntoon and Jon (Mary) Huntoon, and brother-in-law Dave (Sue) Hamilton. Sarah was the proud grandmother and current guardian angel to her future grandchildren, Maddox and Maggie Hamilton. She was also loved by numerous nieces and nephews, Charles Huntoon, Heather Huntoon, Emily (Nick) Kielhorn, Kyle Huntoon, Jerry Daly, Deeann Willbee, Joe Willbee, Scott (Melissa) Bristow, and Kelly (Matt) Mizerik.

Sarah was born on March 25, 1950 in Jackson, Michigan. She graduated from Parkside High School in 1968 and earned an Associate's degree from Jackson Community College. She went on to work at Comerica Bank and Krupa's Boatmart. She enjoyed reading and often volunteered at the library and local schools. She spent time with her friends meeting for coffee, enjoying movies, going for dinner and drinks, and most of all, laughing with them. She was truly a people person who treated those around her like they were family and often cared for others more than she did herself.

A celebration of Sarah's life will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1508 Greenwood Ave. Visitation will be held prior to the service from noon until the start of the service at 1:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice or the Jackson District Library.
