Of Jackson passed away Monday July 7, 2014 after battling cancer and congestive heart failure. She is survived by her son Mike (Sandy) Nott , daughter Jackie (Bob) Blank, daughter Pam (Harry) Rybicki all from Jackson. Grandchildren: Kristin (Jason) Foote, Jeff Nott, Ryan (Kelly) Blank and Brent (Katie) Blank and great grandchildren, Emily Blank, Josh and Jared Foote. She was born in Chelsea, MI on February 6, 1927. Ruth married Richard E. Nott of Stockbridge on March 30, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents Herbert Paul & Elsie (Yocum) Paul, sister Wilma Harrison & granddaughter Sara Blank.
She graduated from Chelsea High school and retired from Jackson Typesetting after 28 years of employment. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Coffee Club at English Meadows, Volunteered at Foote Hospital, and was a member of the Boos Center Exercise Group. Ruth enjoyed making quilts and crafting, loved going camping with her family and socializing, especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren, who always put a smile on her face. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 AM at the Calvary United Methodist Church with Pastor Lillian French officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM.
The family wishes to thank the Allegiance nurses and staff, mom's special friends Leo and Carolyn Fitzpatrick and good neighbor Barb Green for all the love and care that they provided.
In lieu of flowers contributions to the Calvary United Methodist Church, 925 Backus St, Jackson, MI would be appreciated.
