Ruth Meade

Of Jackson, passed away from this world into the arms of her Heavenly Father on July 7, 2025 at the age of 97 years. Ruth is survived by her children, William "Bill" (Carolyn) Weber, Sally Baker (Bob Calamari), and Penny Desormeaux; her step-children, Barbara (Bill) Carlson, Mary (Arthur) Raymond, David (Kathe) Meade, Paul (Nancy) Meade, Charles (Karen) Meade, Finley Joe (Lois) Meade, Lloyd (Bonnie) Meade, and Kenneth (Tammy) Meade; her grandchildren, Robert (Susie) Swilley, Richard (Aom) Swilley, Philip Weber, Nicole (David) Wilkinson, James Nichols (Annette Hicks), William Nichols (Britney Phippen), Timothy Nichols (Cindy Furlong), Daniel Weber, Paula Weber, David Weber, Katie Weber (Tim Lamb), and Alexander Weber; and her special nephews, Gary (Jeanie) Sunderland and Steve Sunderland.

She is also survived by a combined total of 135 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren!

Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, John Weber and Henry Meade, her son David Weber, and her stepson Mark Meade. She spent her final years in comfort at Arbor Manor Care Center, assisted by their kind and loving staff. Ruth enjoyed reading romantic thrillers and playing cards, which she most often won. She loved her Church (First United Methodist), the fall colors, soft slippers, butter pecan ice cream, an occasional margarita, and everything cats.

Ruth's family was never defined by titles — she raised her children as her own and loved every grandchild as if they were her own.

"Not all families are by blood, some are by heart."

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial is planned.
