Hadden, Ruth (Dec. 25, 1921 – Jan. 7, 2016)
After 94 years, Ruth has completed her work here. Being apart from the love of her life, George Hadden, for the past six years was long enough.
She said many times, "life isn't quite the same when your best friend and partner in crime isn't there beside you." It's with great sadness and joy to know she's enjoying happy hour to the sounds of Lawrence Welk (a one and a two) with George, her mother, father, son, brother, multiple poodles, close friend Kay Cole and countless other friends…probably somewhere with an amazing view of an ocean bordered by sand that looks and feels like powdered sugar, and sunsets that are on-demand.
The cocktail specials will all be made with Southern Comfort and there will be an endless supply of snicky snacks. If I had to guess, many of the upcoming days will consist of golf, a real charcoal Weber grill, shopping and rides on a pontoon across calm waters where jet skis (now called wave runners) are nowhere in sight. Her wardrobe will be right out of the latest Ralph Lauren catalog.
I know this to be true; if it wasn't, she wouldn't have left her clothes here. From the bottom of our hearts, we all wish you a wonderful next chapter and thank you for your endless love, life lessons and amazing memories that could fill all the books in the Library of Congress.
Preceded in death by parents, Mildred and Claude McAdams, brother Robert and his wife Virginia, first husband Harold Hively, second husband George Hadden, and son Harold Hively Jr.
