Luppo, Russell
Of Jackson passed away at his home under the loving care of his family and Allegiance Hospice on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his daughter Renee Luppo, son Russell II (Linda) Luppo, two grandchildren Kristen and Erika Luppo, brothers Nicholas & Charles (Mary) Luppo, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Marcella and brother Samuel. Russell was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII 2nd Cavalry Regiment and served under General George Patton. He was employed at Handley Brown Industries and retired from the Jackson Area Career Center where he was the assistant welding instructor. Russell was an avid golfer, loved demolition derby's and was Mark Martin's number one NASCAR fan.
Mr. Luppo is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens. Father Robert Pienta will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Vigil Service at 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions to Allegiance Hospice would be appreciated.
