Cook, Rosemarie V.

of Jackson, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul N. Cook; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Varner, Teresa Cook and Esther Silcock; brothers-in-law, Frank Marriott, James (Barbara) Cook, Mark (Margaret) Cook; special care giver, Diane (Todd) Marriott; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Sophie Varner; brothers, Benjamin Varner and Gerald "Jerry" Varner; sister, Barbara Marriott; brothers-in-law, Nathan Cook and Gordon Silcock.

Rosemarie loved sports and politics on TV, was a lifetime member of St. John Parish, worked many years at Consumers Power Co., was a 1949 graduate of St. John's High School, and loved card games but really hated to lose.

Rosemarie is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday at 12:30 PM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1:00 PM. Father Timothy Wrozek will be the celebrant at the funeral Mass. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Allegiance Hospice Home or St. John Church would be appreciated.
