Koziol, Rosalie Louise
of Charlotte, formerly of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the age of 92 years. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph (Sue) Koziol and Ronald (Brenda) Koziol; one daughter, Barbara Becktel (Stormy May, Cloudy Benjamin); five grandchildren, Scott (Brenda) Koziol, Kristi (Farshad) Pourmousa, Jeff (Brittany) Koziol, Jamie (Chris) Berndt, and Cody Koziol; eight great-grandchildren, Madeline Koziol; Hanah and Sarah Pourmousa; Aiden, Olivia, and Sydney Berndt; Emmerson and Avery Koziol; brother, Joseph Bazylewicz; sister, Teresa Richardson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Yvonne and Denny Moore. Preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Stanley F. Koziol; brothers, Bernard, Stan, and Vincent Bazylewicz; and sisters, Mary Bazylewicz and Helen Batterson.
Rosalie and her husband, Stan moved from Jackson to Charlotte in 1963. They operated Monty's Tavern for 10 years on Cochran Street in Charlotte. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her life was centered around her children and grandchildren. She loved people and was a friend to anyone who knew her.
Mrs. Koziol is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Friday, October 16 at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 707 N. Waterloo St, Jackson, MI at 10:30 AM with Father Chas Conoy officiating. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 PM with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM.
