Redovich, Ronald George
age 77, passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018. He was born on March 17, 1941 to Pete and Donna (Mix) Redovich. Ron graduated from East Jackson High School where he played Basketball, Football and Baseball. He played in a band named Ron and the Runabouts, where he was the lead singer and played the trumpet. In 1971, he married Diana Lee (DeLombard) and had a son, Peter. Tragically Diana passed away on December 24th 1973, leaving Ron and his Mother Donna Gene to raise Peter.
Ron retired from Alro Steel Industrial in 2004 where he worked for 26 years. Ron enjoyed playing and watching sports. He was a life long fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. His grandchildren were his pride and joy whom he loved being around and chatting with them. Some of his favorite times out and about were to watch his grandchildren play sports, shopping at Pollys and going to lunch with his special friend and neighbor Gail Hinton. He enjoyed visits from his friend Lisa, his niece Jessica and her daughter Sophie.
He was preceded in death by his wife Diana, father Pete and his mother Donna. He is survived by his son Peter (Jessica); 3 grandchildren Louis, Sydnie and Madisyn.
A celebration of Ronald's life will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at the Desnoyer Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Reverend James Shaver officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Ronald's name to the Jackson County Relay for Life-Grandpa's Kids.
