Roger Roland LaMarre Jr.
78, of Jackson, MI, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 12, 2018. Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years Carol (Sarata) LaMarre; children Kevin (Maryanne) LaMarre, Kimberly (Mike) Jurist, Renee (Scott) Carstens, and Roger Patrick (Melissa) LaMarre; daughter-in-law Jodie LaMarre; grandchildren Ryan (Whitney), Lindsey, and Shannon LaMarre, Zachary (Kelsey), Jared (Ericka), and Aaron Jurist, Kayla, Cody, and Casey Carstens, Katelyn and Kara LaMarre, and Noah and Sidney LaMarre; great grandchild Maxwell Jurist; sisters Lorrie (LaMarre) Adler and Mary Lou (Ted) Miller; sister-in-law Sue LaMarre; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Margaret (Lefere) LaMarre and stepmother Margaret (Reiger) LaMarre; son Robert LaMarre; and siblings Alan, Peggy, Dennis, and John. Roger retired from Kelsey Hayes in 1996 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 609 and Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church. Roger enjoyed family gatherings, watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and his Florida trips in the Spring.

Roger is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a brief prayer service will be held on October 18 at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Timothy MacDonald at 10:30 AM.

The family will receive friends at Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 17 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM with Rosary at 6:00 PM.
