Kirtland, Rodney L.

Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the age of 92 years.  He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Colleen Kirtland; "Little Dog" Chloe of 13 years; nieces and nephews, Donna (Owen) Stetler and Linda McGarvey; and nephew, Jerry Adams.

Rod was the past president of the Jackson Host Lions Club where he assumed the duties of collecting eyeglasses and has collected over 10,000 pairs.  He was the past president of the Jaycees, a longtime member and usher at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve, a member of the Elks Lodge #113, served on the Summit Township Electrical Board, and retired president of McGowan Electric.

A Funeral Service will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Father Tyler Arens and Deacon Mike McCormick officiating. A private interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday, February 19 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rod's memory may be made to the Jackson Host Lions Club or the charity of your choice.
