Kirkpatrick, Robin Ann
Age 55, of Jackson, Michigan climbed the stairway to Heaven on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, in Miami, Florida while surrounded by her family.
Robin was born in Jackson, Michigan on April 4, 1963. She was a graduate of Northwest High School, received her under-graduate degree from Central Michigan University, and her Master's of Hospital Administration from Eastern Michigan University. Robin spent her career as Community Relations Director of Allegiance Health, where she retired after 24 years of service. Most recently she was employed as an adjunct professor at Jackson College.
Robin is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ron; her children, Carly (Ross) Hovious and Connor (Kelsey Carney) Kirkpatrick; most precious granddaugther, Harper Hovious; father Tim Kelly; and sister Amy. She is also survived by a very special niece, Courtney (Jason) Taylor, and their daughter, Kendall. Other family members include nephews, Adam, Colin, Andrew, and Jared; sisters-in-law, Carol (Patrick) Hall and Pat Kouts; and a very special best friend, Sharon (Rob) Bell. Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Kelly; sister, Laura Kelly-Moss; mother and father-in-law, John and Florence Kirkpatrick; and infant children, Kaitlyn and Kyle Kirkpatrick.
Robin's life motto was to Live, Laugh and Love. She fulfilled that in so many ways. Robin never went a day without being thankful for her blessings. Her laugh and smile were infectious and warm. She was the true definition of living life to its fullest. Her presence brightened a room and her vibrant personality was loved by so many. She knew no strangers. Robin was the most genuine, loving, silly, and kind-hearted person. She loved traveling, shopping, volunteering and most importantly spending time with her family. Her favorite things included anything purple, black and white polka dots, paisleys, teaching students of all ages, attending church on Sundays with her family, and her joyful time dressing up as Mrs. Claus.
Robin recently became a grandma to Harper. Her smile was bigger, her laugh was louder, and her love more evident when in the presence of her precious grand-daughter. Robin lived her life selflessly and touched the lives of so many. She has left a lasting impact on her family, friends and even strangers. We were blessed to have been wrapped in her love. We miss you, love you, and know you are enjoying Paradise…until we meet again, our sweet angel. Always remember, "You are my Sunshine".
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. James Shaver officiating. Private interment at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
